17th Annual Luncheon

On October 25, 2011 the Fort Worth Alumnae Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha hosted a record crowd for the 17th annual Pink Ribbon Luncheon.  Nearly 500 people gathered at Ridglea Country Club for the fundraiser benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Greater Fort Worth; ZTA Foundation and the Patsy Ellis Roach Memorial Scholarship Fund. The 2012 Pink Ribbon Luncheon will be held on October 23, 2012 at Ridglea Country Club.  If you have any questions – please email pinkribbonfw@gmail.com

Lisa Branch Nussbaum and her committee spent several months preparing for this memorable event.  April Osteen Simons blessed the day and pianist Kevin Bingham performed “Wind Beneath My Wings.”  The lunch that was served included a beautiful plate filled with fruit, chicken salad, tuna salad and a lovely carrot bread and cream cheese sandwich.  A dessert of vanilla ice cream topped off with pecans and hot fudge and a pink ribbon cookie completed the meal.

Anne Spivey Paup served as honorary chair of the event, and Alicia Morgan Reid was the Co-Chair.  One of the highlights of the luncheon was the Texas Couture style show presented by Leddy’s Ranch at Sundance Square.   This year’s Patsy Ellis Roach Scholarship was presented to Lauren Levi by Beverly Yates.  We also awarded the Sharon Keenum Recognition Scholarship to Sophie Assmann.

Tim Halperin performed “We Fight Back.”  You can purchase this single on iTunes or his album.

You may also purchase photographs taken by Locations Photography online.  The gallery will be available through November 24.  More photos are available through their facebook page.

A special thank you to all the members of the committee.  Without your help, this day would have not been such a success.
